Our Story
Black Bread Bakery started when two pastry chefs from Europe decided to bring the much beloved traditional rye bread to the UAE. Across Nordics, Germany and much of Eastern Europe they refer to it as "black bread" in their local languages due to its dark appearance when baked. Rye bread enjoyed across these nations is quite different to what is available in most supermarkets locally. Traditional rye is a dense, slightly moist and extremely delicious bread which is made with 100% whole grain rye flour and a natural sourdough starter.
Our Ingredients
We believe that in baking your product is only as good as the ingredients you’re using. No matter what recipe or technique is being used, the quality of your ingredients will have a massive effect on the final outcome. This is why we have been extremely meticulous about choosing our suppliers and the brands we work with.
We use only free range and organic eggs in all our products and imported French butter, flour and chocolates from the finest farmers, mills and chocolatiers across France.
